Ashley Pugh, life member of the Guild and ringer at Witton (Northwich) died on 2nd February 2022.
A Message from his daughters, Rachel and Catherine:
Our lovely dad, Ashley, died at Leighton Hospital in Crewe on Wednesday night. The two of us were able to spend time with him in the preceding two days, and even have a few chuckles, but it was very clear that he was coming to the end of his life and Rachel was able to be with him right to a very peaceful end. He would so much have appreciated the date – 02-02-2022.
Dad had enjoyed his 90 years to the full but the 91st had been fraught with medical issues which wore him down. Nevertheless he had a lovely Christmas in Manchester and was able to spend precious time with grandchildren.
The cremation has been arranged for Friday February 18 in the morning at 10am at Birches Crematorium, Birches Lane, Lostock Green, Lach Dennis. Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 7SU https://birchesremembrance.co.uk
Afterwards we will gather at Ashley’s home for refreshments, good conversation and maybe even the glimpse of snowdrops in his garden at Tall Trees. 33 Norley Road, Sandiway, near Northwich CW8 2JN.
