Table of Results for 10-Bell Competition
Place in competition | Team | Order of Ringing | Peal speed | Score | Judge’s comments |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1st | Mid | 3 | 3h26 | 83.40% | Errors occurred consistently throughout the change. Good structured ringing, clean rows and positive dodges. |
2nd | East | 2 | 3h37 | 80.70% | Ringing slowed and became more settled after the first 50 changes. Most errors in first and second positions. Unclear dodges, mainly in 6-7. |
3rd | Wirral | 4 | 3h31 | 76.80% | Errors consistent throughout the whole change. However, most faults were with bells following the 5th. There were issues with the back bells on the front, and settling into coursing after dodging. |
4th | Chester | 5 | 3h29 | 75.70% | Pace decreased over the test piece. Most errors caused at lead due to the tenor being slow. When the front and back bells mixed together there were consistent faults. |
5th | South | 6 | 3h12 | 67.40% | Pace was exceptionally fast. Most faults were at the back just after the calls. Good effort knowing the band haven’t been able to practice prior to the competition. |
6th | North Wales | 1 | 3h24 | 63.70% | Pace was consistent throughout. It was clear that this band don’t ring together regularly. Completed the test piece successfully and the band should recognise their achievement. |
