BBC Bells on Sunday

News and Information

BBC Radio 4 “Bells on Sunday” is broadcast every Sunday morning and very late that evening and features a performance from a different tower each week.  The sourcing of new recordings, organising the BBC monthly schedules and the writing of the presenter’s notes are provided by Michael Orme.

Mike is always looking for new recordings to add to the BBC library. Recording hints can be found on “The Ringing World” website.

Mike writes:- Please note mobile phone recordings are not accepted by the BBC. .wav .mp3 .wma are the preferred formats.  I am able to edit your recordings, traffic noise, talking, poor ringing and wind noise are all to be avoided.  There is no download size limit (at least 10 minutes please) on your recordings.  Information for the writing of the presenters notes would be most helpful, listen to a few previous broadcasts to give the general idea.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at mikeorme@aol.com or 01260 278211.
